Spread 156- Begin Quietly December 13, 2011

For soul’s sake, just quiet that quarrelsome mind when approaching the page.
“All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness. The mind then gives form to the creative impulse. Even the great scientists have reported that their creative breakthroughs came at a time of mental quietude.”
–Eckhart Tolle

The spread and the quote are so powerful. Both intriguing and comforting. In other words – BEAUTIFUL.
Beautiful in deed! We are striving for quite. Thank you for reminding us.
Wow Orly! Now I see the difference between checking out your blog, and receiving a personal little gift in my inbox…. I really really like it!!! As to your post, I will have to expend my vocabulary (that will be hard); because by now I know I love your color, forms, lines- language…it is always powerful and beautiful. I so agree with what you wrote, and I think it is the hardest thing to do: to disconnect your self from your mind, I call it to loose yourself (LALECHET LE-EEBUD), in a good way. I see the kids in my art classes, and admire their fearlessness…
i agree fully with your quote from Eckhart Tolle…I think that’s why i am so happy…not only am i creating but really taken mentally away….which has the same has effect as meditation!
I find this very difficult to do…my mind is so FULL, but I do try…to get in to that quiet space.
beautiful page Orly

I have just discovered your work recently — and find it very inspirational. Who doesn’t need to quiet the mind — especially this time of year. Thanks
