Spread 230 – Mini Altars November 23, 2013

230-Mini AltarsJournal pages are my mini altars, flat blank surfaces I use in order for me to become mindful of my intimate rituals. Mostly for making offerings to myself. Reconciling differences, primarily for understanding what the heck is going on with me. Rituals causing changes in composition, altering my own. Constantly adjusting and adopting new perceptions of who I am in relation to me, others, truth, or myth, story, and history. Through my mini altars I repeatedly ask tender questions about time and place and how I fit in. What are my takeaways and what do I give away. Arguing my stubborn stances against my fluidity. Then finding calm. Then sharing it with those who want to join me.

I am very lucky to be attending your workshop in Australia (Huskisson) during January and just want to say how poignant and deeply soulful I think your work is,Orly.Intelligence is evident in each journal spread- from the mind and from the heart!

Perfect. I love the thoughtful post. The spread reminds me of an ancient map of a mysterious desert landscape.

Love the idea of creating altars on journal pages. As one who creates altars often, using a journal page is a great space saver ;)
