13. Another New Teaching Opportunity:”Up in the Mountains” with Orly Avineri | Brian Kasstle's Blog - January 3, 2014

14. Spirit Vitamins | - February 6, 2014

[…] Orly Avineri: Orly inspired me long before I met her amidst the lush green hills of english country side. She is soft and yet the boldness that steps forth out of her soul shines. She taught me how to let go in my art. How to glue many pieces of my story to pages and then really focus on what my voice needs to say. She taught me that our stories matter. She is full of rich soil, soil she shares freely! SARK: When I was swimming in grief, unable to love the bits that made “ME” up, I stumbled upon a book by SARK in a library. Soon I had devoured everything she had written. In a playful, airy way I learned to love myself. Tiny micro steps at a time I learned self love didn’t need to be so scary or impossible. Through her brave story telling I began to feel that I was not alone. The isolation I had often felt began to crumble. Sabrina Ward Harrison: This vibrant, raw woman taught me to be fearless. It’s amazing how someone I have never met can leave such a large imprint on my soul. I saw the absolute beauty of living an authentic life and telling stories out of that messy place we keep hidden. I learned very quickly that I was called to tell the stories that we all feel too scared to tell. The stories we all share, the wounds, the sexiness, the fumbling thoughts. Her bravery has inspired me time and time again to be fearless and accept those shaky spaces. Vinnie Gwozdz: The most amazing cheerleader/dream supportor I have ever known. Always sharing the magic that life holds and sprinkling it about. I have been lucky enough to have a comrade by my side to always whisper “you can do it Ashfield.” Sending snail mail full of love teaching me how to receive. It seems his every breath is spent sowing into the lives of others and sometimes I don’t think he is even real! He is such a quirk button! Just the funniest and super cool kid anyone will ever meet. Knowing a soul like his exists fills me with hope. Katarrina Fagering: When I think of a woman who I would want to walk through life with and learn the sacred ways. I think of this bodacious woman! She affirms all that is colliding in my soul and makes sense of all the tumbling parts. She has taught me to be soft with myself. She has taught me the real meaning of femininity and helped heal my relationship with that word. I used to hate being a woman, because I hated being so fucking sensitive, that was until I met her. I saw all that I could be. I saw the way she walked out being a warrior, lover and healer. I saw a radiant, magical trail blazer that left me breathless!
