Spread #132- Just Get It Done! June 1, 2011

“Don’t think about making art. Just get it done! Let everyone else decide whether it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” I just love this quote by Andy Warhol, so simple, so powerful. Absolutely words to live by. I can honestly say I am there with all my being. If only this attitude of mind would spill over to other areas of my life, so smoothly and effortlessly…

I wish I could feel like that all the time, but my inner critic/confidence shatterer raise their ugly head on a regular basis…But I think I will ‘steal’ this quote and see if I can use it to help me!
On another note, I’m intrigued by the pictures, and loving the splash of pinky/red! ~Sara

Esh…. easier said than done! I am laughing at myself. I am judging a piece right now I am working on… OK, I’ll give it a shot and try it your way. Your life is a work of art, Orly. Truely. With much love.

Thank you Orly! Just what I needed to hear this morning. Struggled this whole weekend with my journal and did not feel like it was good enough…or made any sense. Back to the drawing board for me.

“90% of life is just showing up.”

That’s how I want to live my life. Create, create ,create and in between take a moment and appreciate beautiful art like yours.

“While they are deciding, make even more art.”

LOVE that part. It reminds me how the effort of deciding on it’s merit takes time away from the the thing we know brings us fulfilment. what a waste of time.

i just blogged about inhibition so this was fitting to read this morning!

Lovely to hear from you! I delight in your posts-thoughts of surrender and focus and allowing the present moment to be all that is important. Great reminders! I miss you too Orly dearest! : ) I wish that you were next door so we could sit outside and journal and picnic together! Wouldn’t that be fun? I am so looking forward to Journalfest and to seeing you! Keep up the loveliness that is you! : )
