Spread #137 – Plenty July 11, 2011

Posted by Orly in Uncategorized.

We are raised toward self-understanding by the questions others ask us and we are raised toward even deeper self-understanding by the questions we ask ourselves. There are plenty of questions to be asked but it takes strength to ask questions that have plenty of answers. A question can be asked plenty of times and answered plenty more. There are plenty of truths to go around, not only among us but most definitely within ourselves. The day I stop asking questions and seeking answers to them is the day I will come to an end.

Check out a few questions Monica asked me, my answers, and some of her answers to my answers…yes, it’s possible, why not I ask (:

“There are plenty of truths to go around..” beautiful, more people need to open their hearts and listen to the different truths. The spread is stunning, I love the colours and textures and ‘hidden’ images.

“Liberated, expressive, smart, inspired, lively, light, gentle, loveful, playful, ageless, vibrant, layered, deep, mindful, forgiving, abundant, present, valuable, complicated yet simple, out of control yet in control. I like me when I am all of the above and more, all at once.” Loooove it! I wrote I Am What I Art ‘Manifesto’ – I would love to hear your thoughts on it (when and if you have the time: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0Bz45IgrFK7vpM2FkNmFhNTgtOTc0Ny00ZDRiLWIwYTUtNTZlZTM1MDE2OGNk&hl=en

Warm regards,

Deeper, and broader, and higher she goes……. Where Orly will stop, nobody knows!

7. Marit - July 11, 2011

Wonderful spread and great blogpost… I will go and read the answers now.

8. Marit - July 11, 2011

Keep asking the questions, beautiful one!

Orly - July 11, 2011

Dank je Marit, je bent zo lief. Wat leuk het is om commentaren in verschillende talen te ontvangen.

10. Yankale - July 11, 2011

No doubt about it…. The questions ARE the answers…

11. pearlandroses - July 12, 2011

The colors in this spread look magical to me.I too think that the process of questioning deepens my life experience.

12. Monica - July 12, 2011

Orly, I love how this post is a wonderful play on questions and answers! And I love your observation that it takes strength to ask questions that have PLENTY of answers…it can be hard to look at so many answers since we often feel we have to choose only ONE answer, but we know this is not so – we can choose any answer at any given time as it suits us or the circumstances of the moment =-)

Thank you again for taking the time to be interviewed! And thank you also for your wonderful words of encouragement Orly – they mean a lot to me =-)!

BTW: this is another FABULOUS spread – such rich bright color!!

Sometimes the questions are almost more important then the answers. Off to read the interview now.

Orly-I just LOVE this post! It is essential to ask ourSELVES questions, the right ones and then be truthful in the answering. To never stop growing toward our full potential…that is the journey, isn’t it. I also read your amazing interview! LOVE! It was so fascinating to get an intimate view at your life and work. I will definitely try to take one of your workshops at some point (I have a toddler so it may have to wait!) but..I recently started art journaling, altered books, assemblage etc. Thanks for sharing all of this with us and…great that you are a self sustaining artist!!! Yeah!!! xxx
